The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household is considered a home. As you grow older home can become more then one place depending on the individual. That can be with family, friends, or a soulmate. As you grow older home can change, you can lose a relationship with your parents, move out, or go to college and decided once you graduate you want to be on your own. Home to me is at my parents house with my mom, dad, brother, and son. I have lived there all 20 years of my life and have such special memories in the house I will never forget. Home to me is a very special place. Home to me is a place where you spend quality time with both your family or friends. It is where I spend special time with my family and son. We always have dinner together every night, we have game nights, and movie nights. All though I may not be there all the time bemuse of work, school, or other priorities I hold it very close to my heart. Home is what you make of it and I cherish my home. My family is my back bone and always picks me up when I'm about to break. I one day hope to move into a house with my boyfriend and son so that we can call it home together as a small family. Although, my parents house will ALWAYS be considered home to me. Another place I call home would be work and school. I spend 3-4 days a week at work and the rest of the time I am at school studying so I can graduate and make my son proud. Home is what you make of it and I choose to make the best of it. Life is to short to take anything for granted.
I agree that home is often associated with family and spending quality time with loved ones. It is important to enjoy time together, in both larger events and simple, everyday tasks. Making the most of the time one has with family will result in meaningful relationships and fond memories together.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you associate home with your special memories and important times and how you do identify your home as a specific place but your home is the people inside of the house.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, home is what you make it. Still being in the house you grew up in is great. All the memories you made they and are still making more with your son is priceless. Home will always be there.
