Meet Janeiah!

Last Tuesday I had the privilege of meeting a handful of new people and getting to know one of my classmates, Janeiah. Janeiah is 17 years old and currently attends Liberty High School in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. She will be graduating high school this year, 2017. Janeiah is currently apart of the duel enrollment program at Northampton Community College. She got chosen through Liberty High School as 1 of 4 students who were eligible to take a college course. Duel enrollment gives the opportunity to high school students to take college classes while still being in high school. The college course they take will then transfer to whatever college they choose to go to after they graduate. While being a full time student, Janeiah works at McDonalds. She hates working there but they work very well with her schedule. She has a younger brother that is 15 years old and would love to take a family vacation to Florida because they have never gone on a vacation before. Janeiah intends on returning to Northampton Community Collage after high school to major in culinary arts. Janeiah fell in love with culinary back in 10th grade when she started taking culinary classes at vo-tech. She is a very hands on learner and believes cooking would be a great fit for her. Her favorite food to cook is steak, seafood, chicken, mashed potatoes, and vegetables (yummy!!). After graduating from Northampton Community College, Janeiah plans on attending CIA collage located in New York. She had the opportunity of walking through the campus with her vo-tech class. She loved the collage campus and throughout it was absolutely beautiful! After Janeiah is done with college and pursuing her dreams, she one day would like to settle down and start a family.

I really enjoyed getting to know Janeiah! she is a very nice young lady who has such a bright future ahead of her.

  2. I find it very admirable that you are a dual enrollment student! I couldn't imagine going to high school and then going to college and juggling all of the work. From reading this I could tell that your super passionate about culinary. I think it is so great that you have a plan to do what you love and that you've made a plan to become successful in it!
